Classic Meteorological Papers

Links to papers which are among the classics of meteorological literature are provided below. With two exceptions, only papers published in Royal or Scottish Meteorological Society journals are included.

The papers may be cited in the usual way but may not be reproduced without the permission of the Royal Meteorological Society (the copyright holder).

The papers are listed by main author and downloadable in pdf format. Please use the links below to find the papers. This collection will be added to over time.
