Royal Meteorological Society Conference 2011

"Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the first Weather Forecast"
The RMetS Conference was a huge success, with a good mixture of presentations on a wide range of subjects.
Social events at the conference were no less popular with the President, Tim Palmer's band playing, a meteorological Quiz Night and the main Conference Dinner amongst the activities. Tim's band certainly got lots of people up dancing and the band were great, with three really good backing singers.
The Student Conference followed on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday and numbers for this were higher than ever, see the group photo below.
