This will be a largely informal meeting with a strong element that it is hoped will prove attractive to many. On the Monday and Tuesday mornings, there will be reviews of modern meteorology, covering a range of topics, including climate change and weather forecasting. In the afternoons, there will be visits to the Met Office, The National Meteorological Archive, Barometer World and the Norman Lockyer Observatory. The meeting is intended for all who are interested in meteorology and thus to provide an opportunity for members of the Society who are not professionally involved in the subject to mix with those who are.

Overnight accommodation at Exeter University has been booked and talks will be given at the University, which has a most beautiful campus, with extensive views across Exeter and landscaped gardens containing a great many plants and trees.

The meeting will begin on the Sunday evening with dinner and finish about 5pm on the Tuesday.
