National Meetings are held in a variety of locations around the country, here are directions to some of our main venues:

  • Imperial College London

    Public transport access to both these buildings:
    By Bus from Central London: London Transport Buses nos 9, 10 and 52 drive past the Albert Hall which is a 2-minute walk from Prince Consort Road. Bus no.9 from Piccadilly Circus or Hammersmith, no.52 from Victoria Coach Station and no.10 from Oxford Street. By Tube from Central London: the nearest tube stations are Gloucester Road and South Kensington.

  • University of Reading

    University of Reading These meetings will either be in the Department of Meteorology or at one of the University’s lecture theatre facilities.

    The Meteorology Department is Building number 58 and the Palmer lecture theatre building number 26 on the campus map.

    By Bus - numbers 9, 20 and 21 go from the station to Whitenights campus for the Palmer lecture theatre but you need bus no.17 from Friar Street to the Earley Gate entrance for the Department of Meteorology

  • The Manchester Museum.

    The nearest station is Oxford Road. From Oxford Road station, turn right along Oxford Road and walk for about 15 minutes until you get to the Museum or take any bus heading away from the city centre. From Piccadilly Station take service 147 from the Fairfield Street exit. From Victoria Station, take the free Metroshuttle bus number 2 to Oxford Road Station and follow the directions above.   • The Old Town Hall Stratford

    This venue is situated in the heart of London’s historic East End, just a few minutes walk from both the Olympic Park and Stratford Regional Station the main transport hub for the London 2012Games. Stratford Station (Central and Jubilee lines) 0.4km , Stratford International Station 0.4km, Docklands Light Railway(DLR) 0.4km are a short distance away.

  • Hospitium, Yorkshire Museum and Gardens

    These are next to Lendal Bridge, the main river bridge between York Railway Station and York Minster. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk from York Railway Station and there are entrances into the gardens from both Museum Street and Marygate.
