Second Wettest Year on Record

Figures released by the Met Office show that 2012 was the second wettest year on record.

Below is a list of the 5 wettest years in the UK since records began.  The year started with a drought, but December was the wettest of the year, with 180.3mm of rain being recorded in the UK.
