Observing

There are many ways to observe the weather, from making your own raingauge, to buying expensive, highly accurate instrumentation.  We hope there is something of interest for all in this section of our site. 

There are raingauges for children and descriptions of clouds and their names.  You can find out about Luke Howard, the man who named the clouds, see how wind force is measured, or you can borrow instruments from the Royal Meteorological Society.
