OBSERVERS' COMMENTS:                            
                           
Bablake: There was more thunder than in any June since 1988  
Mickleover: 91% of month's rainfall fell on 2 days (24th and 28th)  
Mountsorrel:27th had 16 hours of sunshine - highest for at least 20 yrs  
Lowdham:November to June = 4th driest on record (1867) in the Nottm area  
Derby: Highest June Min (= warm night) on record (since 1952)  
Ely: At last a wet month - the wettest since October 2004  
Middleton: 1038.4mb on 7th was highest summer air pressure on record (1964)
