OBSERVERS' NOTES
Rosliston: A warm April overall, yet it was the coldest since 2001
Mountsorrel: Snow fell on 4th and 9th but no accumulation
Mickleover: Most ground frosts for April since mid-1990s
Ely: Absolute max of 16.9 is lowest in April since 1989
Wirksworth: Grass minimum lowest on record for April
Desford: 8th 1600GMT shower of large hail with temperature falling rapidly
by about 6C in a few minutes
Lowdham: Highest no. of days with hail for any month since March 1995
