OBSERVERS' NOTES
ALL Stations remark on the truly exceptional weather with records
broken all over the region. In general it seems to have been the warmest
and sunniest for over a century (some as far back as the 1860s)
and the driest for up to 50 years
Middleton: Only the second snow free April in 30 years
Mountsorrel: The month was dominated by high pressure
Rosliston: Plant growth at least a month early
Louth: Truly a remarkable month!
