OBSERVERS' COMMENTS
Laughton: 40 days rain in June+July giving314.2. Monsoon conditions!
Louth: Much more rain causing further flooding after a very wet June
Middleton: Wettest July on record
Wirksworth: Coolest July since 1993
Mickleover: Mean surface pressure 1010.4mb lowest in July on my record
Eastwood: We have had 6-month's rainfall in 2 months
Lowdham:450.8mm is a record rainfall total for the May-July period, and for
any 3-month period in the Nottingham area (1867)
Desford: 21st heavy rain before 0430 caused widespread flooding and
torrents of surface run-off from land all about the local area.
30th Summer arrived!
