OBSERVERS' NOTES
Many stations report the driest July for 10 years or more
Bablake: Dullest July since 1988
Mickleover: Diurnal range 0.5C on 12th lowest for July on my records
Rosliston: 22nd torrential rain 1300-1400 produced flooding in neighbouring village
Mountsorrel: Only February has seen above average rainfall this year.
Desford: Most of the rain fell from some spectacular thunderstorms mid-month
