Jo Farrow
My interest in the weather started at the age of 12 when I completed my Girl Guide Weatherman (yes, man) badge. After studying Geophysical Sciences at UEA in Norwich, I trained as a weather forecaster with the Met. Office in Reading, at the weather bubble of Shinfield Park. I have worked as a forecaster at the former Birmingham Weather Centre, the media centre for ITV productions at South Bank Waterloo and at BBC Television Centre appearing on News24, BBC1, BBC World and Radio 4. In 2006, I moved from London to Moray and started as STV backfill cover and I have been enjoying the Scottish weather. I’m still a Girlguiding volunteer and work as a forecaster for the online weather company, Netweather.
