Engineering Meteorology and The Royal Meteorological Society’s AGM 2018

2018 is the Year of Engineering and the Society is joining forces with other sectors to look at how engineering continues support the advancement in the science and application of meteorology. The meeting will focus on engineering solutions that have seen developments in Earth Observations (EO) and the applications of EO in providing solutions to engineering problems in sectors such as energy, water, transport and construction. The Mason Gold Medal Lecture will be given by Prof Graeme Stephens, NASA and University of Reading.
The Society’s AGM will take place during the afternoon and the Society’s Annual Awards and Prizes will be presented. The event will be followed by a drink's reception
LUNCH - As part of the Engineering Meteorology and The Royal Meteorological Society’s AGM 2018, you are invited to a pre-meeting buffet luncheon taking place at 12.00pm. This meeting is part of the Royal Meteorological Society National Meetings programme, open to all, from expert to enthusiast, for topical discussions on the latest advances in weather and climate.
Non members are welcome to attend this meeting but only members can vote. Registration is required. Where seating capacity is limited, priority will be given to members.
DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE | The Closest main line stations are Victoria, Waterloo and Charing Cross mainline stations (approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the venue).
