Other Meetings of Interest (Adhoc Event)

Flooding

DATE

Wednesday 10 July 2019
10:00 - 16:00

Add Event to Calendar: Google

LOCATION

The Wesley Euston Hotel & Conference Venue
81 - 103 Euston Street
London NW1 2EZ

This event will bring people from the UK and France within our Programme area together to explore potential solutions to flooding issues based on three themes (see our event brochure for more information):

- Coastal Protection
- Blue Green Infrastructure
- Flood Resilience

The aim is for participants to start creating partnerships and ideas that could develop into impactful projects. Tackling flooding issues is a huge challenge in the France (Channel) England Programme area, and any plans to address this must consider the impact of a changing climate on surface water run-off to fluvial systems in urban and rural areas and/or coastal and estuarial systems, through a rising sea level, and increased storminess.

As a Programme that funds innovative projects, we are particularly keen to welcome participants from a range of backgrounds who have fresh ideas about how to tackle flooding issues.

Registration closes at 1pm on June 14. Please note that places are strictly limited, so we advise those with a strong interest in attending to register asap.
