Forecasting for Ice Cream: A journey to becoming a weather presenter

Aisling Creevey RMet FRMetS is Meteorologist and weather presenter for ITV Anglia. She also works behind the scenes on creating climate change explainers as well as visiting schools to talk about the importance of weather and climate. Her journey into weather was far from straightforward and she is here to discuss her love of all things weather and how she finally became a Meteorologist.
Aisling has forecast for almost anything you can think of from farming to wind, to Wimbledon, concerts, trains to aeroplanes and more and even the humble ice cream forecast. Join her in a brief skip through her many roles before becoming a Weather Presenter for ITV.

Aisling is a Weather Presenter for ITV Anglia and a professional Meteorologist. She has been working in the weather industry for 15 years, initially as a commercial forecaster with MeteoGroup before re-training with the Met Office as a Senior Operational Meteorologist. She has a wide range of forecasting experience and for the last 7 years has been working with ITV Anglia and the ITV Weather team. She also creates climate change videos and likes to visits school to talk about weather and climate and encourage the next wave of scientists. Aisling is a fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society and co-hosts a podcast called ‘For the Love of Weather’.
