VIRTUAL| The Royal Meteorological Society’s AGM 2021
LOCATION
UPDATE | Registration has now closed.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Society will not be able to host a face-to-face AGM event this year. Instead we are hosting a virtual AGM which you will be able to join either via a weblink or via a telephone.
The AGM programme was circulated to members as an insert in the April issue of Weather (see also under Meeting Resources). Other relevant documents for the AGM, such as the Annual Accounts and Report for 2020, will also be available under Meeting Resources.
We would encourage all members to join us for our AGM so please register for the event by clicking on the ‘Register for this event’ button. Joining instructions will be emailed to everyone who has registered ahead of the AGM. If you have any questions please contact the Society on 0118 2080 142 or email info@rmets.org.
Please register by the end of the day on Thursday 3 June 2021
Professional Accreditation with RMetS.
Get started on your journey to professional accreditation with RMetS.
Immediately following our AGM, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a panel led workshop that will give you an overview of the Society’s professional accreditation programmes.
If you would like to know more about how the Society supports and promotes the importance of professional accreditation and Fellowship or are thinking about applying, then please join us.
Our panel of experts will explain how being a Fellow, chartered or registered meteorologist, has added value to them, both from a personal perspective, as well as the advantages it has brought to their organisations.
For those wanting to apply, you will learn what the Society can offer, details about the application form and process, along with hints and tips about where to find the resources to get you started.
This free workshop is open to everyone and you are invited to join this part of the day's events whether you have attended the AGM or not.
The workshop will follow the AGM and will start at 2.35 pm (BST) and run for approximately 50 minutes. Please register using the main link and join at your convenience.
