ABSTRACT | The presentation will take a look at how climate science has informed and influenced international
climate policymaking, with a focus on the long-term global temperature goal of the UNFCCC’s 2015
Paris Agreement and the important role of the IPCC’s forthcoming Special Report on Global Warming
of 1.5 degC limit will play in international discussions this year.

This meeting is part of the Royal Meteorological Society Meetings programme, open to all, from expert to enthusiast, for topical discussions on the latest advances in weather and climate.
