SPEAKER | Dr Neil Wells, Southampton Oceanography Centre.

ABSTRACT | The North Atlantic Ocean circulation has been monitored continuously from 2004 to the present at a single latitude of 26oN. I will discuss the changes in the circulation over this period and relate this to changes in heat content monitored over the whole North Atlantic. The remarkable event in 2009 will be discussed in terms of the ocean and atmospheric circulation.
