2019

Happy New Year!

2 January 2019

The Royal Meteorological Society wishes you a peaceful and prosperous 2019.

We are looking forward to another busy year supporting all the operational meteorologists, research scientists, consultants, students, teachers, amateur enthusiasts and observers who make up the weather and climate community.

For example, following the recent launch of the new UK climate change scenarios, one of our many events will be on 20 February. It will give you the chance to hear about the climate change scenarios from the people who designed them. Whether you are interested in the effects of weather on Birmingham New Street station or international shipping, the climate of 2018 or the pliocene there is sure to be an event in our 2019 programme that you will enjoy.

Two particular highlights of 2019 are expected to be our Atmospheric Science and Student and Earl Career Conferences.

Members of the Society will continue to enjoy a wide range of benefits this year including discounts on our Conferences, access to funding and grants, monthly Weather journal, access to professional accreditation as a Chartered or Registered meteorologists. You can join the Society today and start receiving the benefits. Visit our website again soon to find out more.
