Meet the Experts – A Weather Photo Journey
To celebrate the launch of Weather Photographer of the Year 2023, we will be hosting a live Zoom session on 25 April (7pm-8.30pm) packed full of hints, tips and anecdotes to help you plan your weather photography, take your photo, and get it noticed.
Kirsty McCabe, an experienced broadcaster and qualified forecaster, will kick off the session by sharing insider knowledge on understanding weather patterns and tips on when and where to capture the best shots. Following her talk, the winner of last year's competition, Christopher Ison, will share his winning entry and offer tips for capturing your own magical moments.
Digital marketer and social media consultant Paul Sutton will round out the line-up of speakers by sharing tips for building an online community for your photography and increasing the visibility of your talent. The event will be chaired by Liz Bentley, Chief Executive of the Royal Meteorological Society and head judge of the competition.
After hearing from the speakers, the floor is yours to ask questions.
The Weather Photographer of the Year 2023 competition is open for entries from 25 April to 27 June. To learn more and enter the competition visit rmets.org/photography (details will be updated nearer the launch date).
