Professor Fred Taylor was a distinguished atmospheric scientist who studied the thermal structure, composition and dynamics of planetary atmospheres across the Solar System, using innovative instrumentation he helped to develop, carried to the planets on board a host of spacecraft launched by NASA and ESA. In this symposium, former colleagues of Prof. Taylor will review and celebrate his life and scientific work across a broad range of subjects, and present some of the ongoing research in Oxford and elsewhere that represents his legacy for future generations.
