National Accreditation Day

On National Accreditation Day, we are thrilled to reveal the design for our new professional accreditation badges.

Anyone who has achieved their RMets or CMets will be entitled to use our newly designed badges on email signatures, social media channels and websites to demonstrate professional recognition of skills and competence. In the coming weeks, we will also be contacting our accreditated members with details on obtaining a physical badge to symbolise your achievements.

Our professional accreditation schemes enable you to demonstrate your accomplishments and commitment to your own professional development and are recognised internationally.

Professional accreditation brings many benefits, including the right to use CMet and RMet as a post-nominal designation and the privilege to use the new badges on personal profiles.

We have two professional accreditation schemes:

Chartered Meteorologist (CMet) is the highest professional recognition in meteorology available in the UK, no matter your discipline or sector.

 

Registered Meteorologist (RMet) is awarded to Royal Meteorological SocietyLogo, company name

Description automatically generated members pursuing a career in meteorology or working in a role supporting meteorological services.
