New guidance videos for Accreditation and CPD

The Society is pleased to introduce two new training videos to help members who are applying for their professional accreditation or uploading Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records using the ACCSYS system.

ACCSYS is the Royal Meteorological Society’s online Accreditation and CPD tool. It can be used by all Society members to create, manage and submit CPD reports and accreditation applications. These can then be collated and exported or printed for your personal use or as part of your employer’s appraisal scheme.

The Society is the only body able to award Registered or Chartered status for meteorologists, independently recognising excellence in people and is acknowledged by employers. Those working towards or maintaining their Registered Meteorologist (RMet) and Chartered Meteorologist (CMet) can also use ACCSYS to apply for accreditation online and to submit regular CPD Reports.

All members are encouraged and supported in keeping their own detailed record of CPD to ensure their knowledge stays relevant and up to date. Even if you are not currently applying for accreditation, we hope that these new videos will support you in using the system as your career and skills develops.
