RMetS Membership for AMS members

A historic agreement has been signed by Prof. Liz Bentley, Chief Executive of the Royal Meteorological Society and Dr Roger Wakimoto, President of the American Meteorological Society (pictured right). 

Our organisations share the commons goals of supporting the creation and spread of knowledge about the atmosphere and related sciences and this agreement will help us collaborate and exchange information to our mutual benefit.

The agreement includes a reciprocal membership arrangement. 

Members of the American Meteorological Society may now join the Royal Meteorological Society in the Member category for a 25% discount on the usual fee. They will receive a digital subscription to Weather and all the other benefits of membership, including discounts on books and journals, and a monthly newsletter.

In the same way, Royal Meteorological Society members may now join the American Meteorological Society as Affiliate Members for a 25% discount on the usual fee. They will receive a digital subscription to Bulletin of the AMS and all the other benefits of membership including discounts on books and journals, and member rates for all AMS meetings.
