Weather Photographer of the Year – Entries close midnight tonight!

29 June 2020

We know you’ve been thinking about it... and now is your last chance to enter your photos in our Weather Photographer of the Year competition. Entries close Midnight Monday 6 July.

We all love talking about the weather and it affects us wherever we are and whatever we’re doing. Whether you are a professional or amateur photographer, have all the equipment or just a smartphone, RMetS, in association with AccuWeather, wants to see your weather photos.

We’re looking for your best images showing weather in its widest sense. This could range from weather phenomena such as clouds, lightning, rain, fog or snow, through to the impact of weather on humans, cities and the natural landscape.

Anyone can enter the competition so make sure you don’t miss your chance to take part. There is also an under 18s category. However, please remember to observe social distancing guidelines for your respective geographic locations whilst you are out taking photos. This year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, you can submit pictures regardless of when they were taken – you just need to find them!

There are a few prizes up for grabs, including £500 cash, a HERO8 Go Pro and one year’s RMetS membership for the overall winner, as well as your photo being seen by millions of people around the world, which really can be life changing. Don’t just take our word for it – you can read about some of our previous winners here, as well as discover a whole host of tips to help you take that perfect photo before the closing date.

We look forward to seeing your weather photos, good luck!
