WeatherLive and WPOTY Public Vote

24 October 2018

The Royal Meteorological Society is hosting an extreme weather conference to explore the severe weather events and climates around the world. Whether it's tornadoes or hurricanes, working in extreme conditions or communicating high impact weather, we'll take a closer look at extreme weather - its power, its beauty, its occasional absurdity and its fragility in the face of human activity.

We will be announcing the winners of our Weather Photographer of the Year 2018 at WeatherLive. We have received over 4,000 entries this year and have narrowed it down to 30 spectacular photographs from across the world. The public vote is open until the 31st of October, which is an opportunity for you to vote for your favourite shortlisted photographs from our 2018 competition. Find more information about the public vote here and get voting! https://www.weather-photo.org/events/weather-photographer-year/.

The British Antarctic Survey will be hosting us for the day in beautiful Cambridge on the 10th of November. Come and meet experts working and living in the most extreme weather conditions and learn how you can get involved. Register for the event of the year and join us for a day where we will push the weather to the extreme!
