ABSTRACT | Tornado Alley, in the Great Plains of the United States of America, is the scene of some of the most violent thunderstorms in the world, called “Supercells”. Since the release of the movie “Twister” in the mid-1990s storm chasing has grown in popularity. This talk will take the form of a “How To” guide if you were interested in storm chasing. It will also explain what makes Tornado Alley such a unique place for producing and viewing some of world’s largest tornadoes.
Part 2 will follow in February, with a talk highlighting recent storm chase trips to Tornado Alley by Dan Holley and Adam Dury.
