In this talk, Chris will review the importance of weather imagery in the lyrics of blues and folk songs. This will include a discussion of the meteorology of high-impact weather events in the US that have been documented in song over the past 90 years, from the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
