SWITCH competition: deadline extension

The Surface Weather Instrument Technology Challenge (SWITCH): Can you design and build an instrument for no more than £50?

Submit a proposal for your low cost surface weather observation instrument by 16th January 2018 via email (switch@rmets.org) or post (usual RMetS address) to take part. The proposal should include a detailed description of the design and capability of your instrument, as well as a cost estimate, sketches and pictures. The Society will fund the material cost of the 10 best proposals to enable a prototype to be built. You will be asked to showcase it on 16 May 2018 at the Society’s AGM.

Competition is run by the RMetS' Meteorological Observations Special Interest Group and supported by the Met Office who are providing the prize and marketing materials.
