Award Nominations Now Open

4 August 2023

Following the recent announcement of the Society’s 2022 Award Winners, with outstanding entries from across the international community, nominations are now open for next year’s awards.

The Royal Meteorological Society recognises and rewards excellence, through its medals and awards, to people and teams who have made outstanding and exceptional contributions to meteorology and related disciplines.

Considered one of the most prestigious accolades in meteorology, with a history dating back to 1901, the awards continue to reflect the breadth of work in the meteorological community. In 2022, RMetS launched its refreshed awards programme, which included new awards to recognise the impact of the meteorological community with regards to education and public engagement.

It can be one of the most rewarding activities to honour peers and colleagues for their contributions to the science and profession; if you would like to nominate someone for an award, please visit www.rmets.org/nominations-2023 and complete your submission by Friday 20 October 2023.
