Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Is it relevant to weather and climate science? The impacts of climate change and extreme weather are not being felt equally; globally, women and people of colour are already disproportionately affected. This is true even within the UK, with people of colour more likely to say they have experienced climate impacts personally and feel significantly higher climate anxiety than white people. But as recent RMetS surveys show, people of colour are not well represented in the field. I will talk about the importance and relevance of EDI to weather and climate, and share some of the work ongoing within RMetS. Speaker/s Regan Mudhar
