The UK Climate Science Partnership (UKNCSP): Progress and plans A UK National Climate Science Partnership (UKNCSP) has been formed, to connect and leverage the climate research capability of the NERC-supported Research Centres and the Met Office, with a shared vision to see the UK as a global leader in climate science for climate solutions (https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/research/approach/collaboration/uk-national-climate-science-partnership). In this talk we will update on progress in the UKNCSP including through a number of active working groups and activities around coordinating climate observations, a UK contribution to the 7th phase of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP7) and planning for a potential update to the UKs climate information (UKCI) as well as looking forward to newly developing activities. We will also describe a strategic framework for UKNCSP and highlight routes for the community to feedback and engage. Speaker/s Prof Catherine Senior, Co-director UKNCSP; Principal Fellow, Met Office
