How to become a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society
Fellowship of the Royal Meteorological Society is our highest level of membership. Fellows may use the post-nominals FRMetS as a statement of their standing in weather and climate. Fellowship is open to anyone who satisfies the following two requirements.
Requirement 1. Has a formal academic qualification involving weather or climate science, or a vocational qualification in weather or climate, or long involvement in a variety of weather or climate activities at a professional level or as an amateur enthusiast.
Requirement 2. Makes substantial contributions to promoting weather and climate science, the profession or as an interest. Applicants are required to provide two referees, at least one of whom must be a fellow of RMetS. A register of all Fellows can be found here. In the event that your Fellowship application is unsuccessful you will either have the option to change to a 'Member' or have your Fellowship fee refunded in full.

How much does Fellow Membership cost?
