ABSTRACT | This lecture by Bjorn Heyerdahl, Thor Heyerdahl’s grandson, will start with a 5 minute film about his Viking-style longboat, the research vessel RV ‘Midgard Heron’ Bjorn will explain his ideas and show how his vessel will travel the globe with a crew of diverse scientists, explorers and sustainability specialists, studying real examples of sustainable development that will represent ‘intelligent life.’ This learning is shared as a global dialogue so that the lessons can be applied by any group or individual.

This will be a Zoom event hosted by the South West Local Centre. Instructions on how to register for this event will be posted on this page soon.
