TITLE | The Boxing Day Floods, 2015. A view from Yorkshire Water on the event, its impacts, and their response.
SPEAKER | Amanda Crossfield, Lead Advisor for Climate Change Adaptation at Yorkshire Water.
ABSTRACT | Amanda will talk about the weather conditions over the Christmas holidays that resulted in severe flooding across many parts of Yorkshire. She will discuss how these impacted on Yorkshire Water and how we managed the event and its impacts on our customers, staff and services, as part of the multi-agency incident response. This talk will also touch on our post-incident review and the lessons learnt, as well as giving a few examples of how we are working with our regional and local partners to manage flood risk into the future, including upland management and surface water separation.

Tea and coffee is provided in the common room from 6:30pm, talks all start at 7pm and last about an hour.
