SPEAKER | Mr. John Goulding, Royal Met. Soc. Amateur meteorologist

ABSTRACT | A personal compilation of some of the noteworthy weather events and extremes from 2019, touching upon their causes and effects. The selection will cover the UK as well as across the world, with references, where applicable, to the departures from normal and reflecting upon their climatological extremity. Many may be well-remembered, but more unusual and quirky items are also included, and there will be the opportunity for audience participation.

This meeting is part of the Royal Meteorological Society Meetings programme, open to all, from expert to enthusiast, for topical discussions on the latest advances in weather and climate. Free to attend. Non members are welcome.
