LOCATION
A two-day event held jointly by EML and Newcastle University. The first day includes the SIG AGM and a demonstration at EML of a brand new rainfall intensity calibration rig. This is followed by an informal social discussion evening in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne (with free food and drinks!).
The second day of the event will comprise presentations from scientific experts, and a visit to a leading Hydro-Met research station. There will be opportunity for engagement and discussion throughout the two-day event. We hope you can join us!
Thursday 30th June:
2.15pm - 3.45pm: SIG AGM (open to all. SIG members only can vote) at EML
3.45pm - 4.45pm: Demonstration of new calibration techniques at EML
7.00pm - 9.30pm: Social event in City Centre (with buffet and drinks)
Friday 1st July:
9.15am - 10.00am: Pick up from hotel / Central Station and arrival at Nafferton Farm research site
10.00am - 1.00pm: Presentations delivered by invited speakers
1.00pm - 2.00pm: Lunch
2.00pm - 3.30pm: Visit to nearby research site at Nafferton Farm (short walk (10-15mins), car transport available. Boots/Waterproofs recommended).
3.30pm: Return to city centre/train station (end of visit)
