A collage of extreme weather events

WeatherLive: From one extreme to another

30 June 2021

The Royal Meteorological Society’s annual event for weather and climate enthusiasts returns as an online virtual event on Saturday 16 October - WeatherLive: From one extreme to another.

This popular annual event has a different theme and a fantastic line-up of guest speakers each year. This year, we will explore and discuss a range of weather extremes witnessed over the past 12 months. Topics will be inspired by images captured and submitted to our Weather Photographer of the Year competition, which has now closed.

During the event, we will also announce the winners of all three categories in the Weather Photographer of the Year 2021 competition, in association with AccuWeather, as well as the winner of the public vote, which will open on 26 August.

Whether you're interested in wildfires, drought, flooding, storms, tornadoes or extreme temperatures, WeatherLive: From one extreme to another, is not to be missed.

Save the date - Saturday 16 October 2021, 1-4pm (BST).
